Hey guys!

    I customized the settings so we all can write on this blog. We can post our dilemas as a new post every Sunday. We can comment on the posts and then discuss on Tuesdays.
    I know we may have some issues with meeting on Tuesdays now (I forgot about the time change for Julia). If we were going to meet at 7:15 on Tuesday nights, that means Julia will have to meet with us at 4:00 A.M. her time. So maybe we can discuss a new day to meet. You can do that by responding to this post through comments.

    Hey, I created a blog for another class and there is no way for me to post to this blog that I know of....so its comment city for me. Sorry, I'm also possibly the most computer illiterate person I know.

    Dilemmas: 

    -Staying positive throughout this experience due to lack of time and energy.
    -Getting to choose activities for students (my mentor teacher gives me little freedom)
    -Making connections with all of the students, the schedule is
    -Being placed in situations that can be uncomfortable, such as being asked to watch the class for my teacher, with no additional supervision.
    -Not pretending to be blind to what these kids are actually going through, such as abandonment, sex, drugs, gangs, & violence.
    -Becoming increasingly poor
    -All of our tests have to be in multiple choice form and look just like the CRCT, with zero differentiation, and they wonder why the kids aren’t doing well.
    -Being in the extreme minority, I wonder if that makes me hard to relate to for some of the students.

    I think right now we are only supposed to be collectively stating our dilemmas. However, suggestions are welcome. :)

    Do we went to rotate who type of the summary after each online meeting? Let me know what you guys think. Two of us will have to two summaries, and I don't mind of I am one of them! Thanks!

    Also, do we need to rotate submitting the contents of our blog every week to livetext? I don't mind doing that twice as well! Thanks!
